“ The Positos Ranch “ located at Km 36 Atotonilco El Alto-San Miguel road, in Arandas, County, Jalisco State.A privileged place to grow Agave in the Denomination of Origin delimited area for Tequila.

The Positos was bougth in 1865 by Don Miguel Orozco Navarro, and it is a legacy trough the last two generations of Don Jesús Orozco Torres family in 1986, Our Chairman Director Alfonso Orozco Salido continues with the tradition of growing this Agave Plant.

There is an interesting and beautyful and family story related to the growing agave labor at The Positos Ranch. This Agave plant keeps one of the most traditions representatives of our country.

The story tells, that in 1872 Don Pantaleón Orozco, cousin and wedding godfather of Don José María Orozco Orozco was according the cronist of that time, the one who brought the very first agave plants to the region from Amatitán, Jalisco (nearby Tequila Town) those plants were a gift from Don Cenobio Sauza, to be planted in the “Los Altos” region where The Posito is located. Those first plants growed in the hill called “El Caracol”, area belonging to The Positos Ranch. This is the tradition of how the marvelous agave plant began growing in the Orozco's family ranch.
